TAO Signature Combo Massage in Tysons, VA
Our most-requested service — a fully customized blend of Swedish flow, deep tissue release, and meridian-inspired pressure work.
Quick Answer
The TAO Signature Combo Massage is a single session that blends three techniques — Swedish flow, firm targeted release and meridian pressure-point work — tailored region by region rather than applying one style to the whole body. It runs $70 for 30 minutes, $110 for 60 minutes, $180 for 90 minutes and $220 for 120 minutes at our Vienna studio, 5 minutes from Tysons Corner.
Signature Experience
The TAO Signature Combo Massage
The TAO Signature Combo is the service we are best known for. It is a fully customized session that blends Swedish flow, deep tissue release, and meridian pressure-point work — Chinese meridian and deep-tissue technique that responds to your body in real time. Our certified senior therapists read what each muscle group needs and adjust the proportions on the fly.
Whether you walk into our Tysons-adjacent Vienna studio carrying low-back stiffness, neck and shoulder tension from a desk-bound week, or simply a busy mind, the Signature Combo brings everything back into balance in one session. It is the most-requested service on our menu for a reason.
At a glance
Signature Combo Prices & Session Lengths
The blend costs 10 to 40 dollars more than a single-technique massage because it asks more of the therapist: 3 approaches, sequenced to the body in front of them. Below is what each length realistically covers, from a 30 minute upper-body reset to a 2 hour full-body session.
| Session | Duration | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upper body | 30 minutes | $70 | Neck, shoulders and upper back in 1 sitting |
| Standard | 60 minutes | $110 | The most-booked option; covers 3 or 4 regions |
| Extended | 90 minutes | $180 | Adds 30 minutes of meridian and foot work |
| Full ritual | 120 minutes | $220 | Whole body, unhurried, 2 hours end to end |
Why Signature
Benefits of the TAO Signature Combo
Fully Customized
Every TAO Signature Combo is designed around you — your problem areas, your pressure preference, and the energy you walk in with that day.
Swedish Flow Foundation
We open with long, warming Swedish strokes that calm the nervous system and prepare the muscles for deeper work.
Deep Tissue Release
Once the body is warm, the therapist transitions into targeted deep tissue work on shoulders, neck, lower back, and hips.
Meridian-Inspired Pressure
Throughout the session, our therapists weave in pressure-point work along key meridian lines for whole-body energetic balance.
Most-Requested Service
If you cannot decide between Swedish, deep tissue, and meridian pressure-point work, the Signature Combo answers all three.
Walk-Out Calm, Walk-In Energized
Most guests leave feeling both deeply relaxed and quietly energized — a balance that only comes from a fully integrated session.

How Three Techniques Fit Into One Hour
A blended session is not three massages crammed together. Your therapist reads the body first, then assigns each region the technique it needs — flowing strokes here, slow pressure there, held points somewhere else. This is the order it happens in.
- 01
Tell us the 2 or 3 places that matter
The intake takes 3 minutes and decides the whole plan. Most guests name the upper back, the lower back, or the neck. Anything injured, inflamed or operated on in the last 6 months gets flagged and worked around.
- 02
Swedish opening — the first 10 minutes
Long, warming strokes across the whole back raise tissue temperature and let the nervous system drop. Nothing deep happens yet; this phase exists so the firm work later does not meet cold, guarded muscle.
- 03
Firm release where you asked for it
The middle 20 to 30 minutes are targeted. Slow pressure, held for 20 to 30 seconds per restriction, on the 2 or 3 regions you named. The rest of the body keeps the lighter Swedish treatment.
- 04
Meridian pressure points to finish the pattern
Sustained thumb pressure on classical points along the back, shoulders, hands and feet — 30 to 60 seconds each. This is the part guests remember, and the reason the combo feels different from a straight deep-pressure hour.
- 05
Close out and set a rhythm
The last 5 minutes return to flowing strokes. Drink water afterwards. Once a month suits most people; every 2 weeks if you are managing a chronic pattern. Packages bring the 60 minute rate down to $90 or $89 per session.

Why the Blend Outsells Every Single-Technique Massage on Our Menu
This is the most-requested service at TAO, and the reason is unglamorous: most bodies do not need one thing. A desk worker's shoulders want firm pressure while the same person's legs want flow. The blend lets one 60 minute session do both.
What the extra 10 dollars buys
At 60 minutes the blend is $110 against $100 for a single-technique hour. The difference buys therapist judgement: deciding, region by region, which of 3 approaches the tissue in front of them needs, and re-deciding as it changes.
At 90 minutes the gap is $30 ($180 against $150), and at 120 minutes it is $20. If you would rather keep it simple, a straight Swedish massage or deep tissue session costs less and does one job well.
Who should book the blend
Book it if you carry tension in 2 or more unrelated places, if you have had a massage that was too gentle and one that was too rough, or if you are buying for someone whose preferences you do not know. It is our safest gift booking for exactly that reason — see gift cards.
Add warm stones for $20 between November and March, or essential oil for $20. Both are 5 minute enhancements that do not shorten the massage.
Regulars, packages and the maths
The 5-session 60 minute package is $450 — $90 a session, a $50 saving. Ten sessions cost $890, or $89 each, saving $110. At 90 minutes the tiers are $700 and $1,390. Sessions are transferable between Swedish, deep pressure and the combo, so a package does not lock you into one style.

TAO Signature Combo FAQs
What is the TAO Signature Combo Massage?
+
The TAO Signature Combo is our most-requested service — a fully customized blend of Swedish flow, deep tissue release, and meridian-inspired pressure-point work. Your certified senior therapist reads your body and weaves all three techniques together in proportions that fit your needs.
How is the Signature Combo different from Swedish or deep tissue alone?
+
Swedish is pure relaxation; deep tissue is targeted release. The Signature Combo at TAO Therapeutic Massage Spa combines the two, with the added benefit of Chinese meridian pressure work that addresses energy flow alongside muscle tension.
Can I add hot stone, essential oil, or cupping?
+
Yes. Hot stone, body scrub, essential oil aromatherapy, and cupping are available as 5-minute add-ons starting at $20. Hot stone is the most popular pairing with the Signature Combo, especially in the cooler months in Vienna.
Is the Signature Combo right for a first-time client?
+
Yes. Because the session is fully customized, it works just as well for first-time guests as for regulars. Let your therapist know it is your first visit and they will dial in the pressure carefully.
How do I book the Signature Combo in Vienna?
+
